Managers

Johan Baeck, MD, Chief Executive Officer, brings over 20 years experience in the life science industry to Aqueous. Prior to joining the team, Dr. Baeck worked for numerous global companies, including Ciba-Geigy, Abbott, Pharmion, and Myogen. He has broad experience across a variety of functional areas including sales, marketing, medical affairs, business development, product research, and human trial management. Dr. Baeck received his MD from Leuven University (Belgium).

Mike Wilcox, PhD, President and Chief Scientific Officer for Aqueous Biomedical, invented the Oculieve device after 30 years of research. Dr. Wilcox is a world-renowned scientist with a BS in Psychology, MS in Biology, and PhD in BioPhysics, all from Purdue University. He is currently a research professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Dr. Wilcox is responsible for coordinating FDA trials, obtaining FDA marketing approval, and overseeing future research and development.

Duncan Stewart, Chief Operating Officer for Aqueous Biomedical, is responsible for developing the company’s business strategy, including the marketing, financial, and operational plans. He has a BS degree in Management from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MS in Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle, and an MBA from Notre Dame.
